Hundreds of children and parents descended upon the Promenade Gardens for a delightful Easter Egg Hunt and Fun Day hosted by STEMGuyana on March 17th, 2024. The event proved to be a fantastic opportunity for families to bond and have a blast while engaging in various activities.
The day’s festivities featured not one, but two thrilling Easter egg hunts, ensuring everyone had a chance to gather colorful treats. But the fun didn’t stop there! A range of exciting games like tug-o-war, bag races, musical chairs, and the crowd-pleasing drone soccer kept both children and adults entertained throughout the day.
STEMGuyana also took this opportunity to inform parents about the upcoming courses designed to ignite young minds in the fascinating world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Parents were introduced to a compelling lineup that included courses in artificial intelligence, drone soccer, building and programming robots (foundational and advanced levels), and Arduino programming. Registration for these exciting programs is underway, with classes commencing on April 3rd, 2024.
Looking ahead, STEMGuyana has even more in store for the community. The organization is gearing up to launch a national drone soccer league this summer, promising high-octane competition! Additionally, a team of five talented youngsters will have the opportunity to travel to San Diego, California, to participate in an international drone soccer competition, an experience that will undoubtedly fuel their passion for STEM.
