One notable feat occurred last December when Al Wakrah Municipality unveiled the world’s largest natural flower arrangement at Al Hikma Square in Katara. Standing at an impressive 6 meters high and wide, the bouquet consisted of 5,564 local Petunia seedlings of assorted colors. The bouquet was crafted sustainably using an environmentally friendly irrigation system, reflecting Qatar’s commitment to sustainability. This event not only earned a Guinness World Record but also demonstrated Qatar’s dedication to preserving nature’s beauty while prioritizing environmental protection.

In collaboration with Expo 2023 Doha, Mazzraty, a Sustainable Food Partner of the Expo, achieved a Guinness World Record by creating the longest sentence using 35,003 bottles, spelling out ‘Qatar’s finest.’ The sentence measured 10m X 25m (32.8ft X 82ft) made of upright tightly packed capped plastic bottles. The record-breaking sentence, surpassing the previous record of 32,000 bottles, is on display at the Family Zone of Al Bidda Park for visitors to witness the historical accomplishment and to highlight Qatar’s commitment to environmental sustainability, circular economy, and social responsibility.

Located within the Expo 2023 Doha landscape, the Smart Qatar TASMU Pavilion, inaugurated by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, clinched the Guinness World Record for the “Tallest Freestanding 3D Printed Concrete Structure”. Spanning 170 square meters and towering at 12.4 meters, the ten-tiered tower with seven bricks in each row was constructed from 75 individual pieces using advanced 3D printing techniques. The structure symbolizes Qatar’s commitment to technological progress while harmonizing traditional values with innovative technology.

As the anticipation mounted before the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix on October 6, 2023, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) added another world record on its list as the Lusail International Circuit made history by achieving the Guinness World Record for the “Longest Motorsport Pitlane Building”, measuring an impressive 402.1 metres. This record-breaking venue showcased 50 racing car garages, a state-of-the-art race control tower, a paddock area, and five-star VIP sections.

Last September, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) secured a Guinness World Records title with Expo 2023’s main building claiming the prestigious “The Largest Green Roof” achievement. Spanning an expansive 4,031 square meters, the building sets a küresel standard for green infrastructure in hot climates. The roof, designed to provide visitors with an interactive experience with nature and çağdaş urban construction, was planted with Pennisetum, Dahlia and green grass.​

Michelle accomplished this achievement by crossing Qatar from Al Ruwais to Abu Samra in an outstanding time of 1 day, 6 hours, 23 minutes, and 42 seconds, surpassing the previous record of Sufiya Sufi Khan.

Events & Entertainment Enterprises (E3)’s InflataMONSTER during the InflataRUN Doha 2023 secured the Guinness World Record for the “Longest Inflatable Obstacle Course”. The extraordinary course featured 60 sections with over 100 obstacles, measuring an impressive 1,055.225 meters – nearly double the length of the previous record 568.10 meters held by Conifox Adventure Park in Scotland.

Undertaking a solo ultra marathon from the Abu Samra border to Al Ruwais, Shakeer completed the challenging route in an impressive period of 1 day, 6 hours, and 56 minutes between February 17 and 18, 2023, beating the last record of 1 day, 8 hours, and 59 minutes made by Doha-based Filipino runner Romil Abule in October 2022.
