The AFC has no doubt set off the PPPC Government into a tizzy because of AFC’s distinguished ability to provide technically sound, credible, and factual information to the Guyanese people, while dispelling the blatant lies and propaganda of the PPPC. We must be doing one heck of a good job for the people, to goad such a level of hysteria from the PPPC, so much so, that we are now taking up all of the space in their Guyana Chronicle newspapers.
Nevertheless, we always welcome a healthy debate on topics that are of interest to the people such as oil & gas, the environment, and infrastructure; but, most embarrassingly, the PPPC has absolutely no one in their midst to match up with us, so, they are forced to descend deep into the pits to find anyone that has a tongue to say anything, regardless of how nonsensical it may be. Just recently, they hired a cricket Umpire who lives in Canada and a friend of the EPA Executive, to be the spokesperson on the environment for EPA; and they dug even deeper to now have someone to speak on oil & gas who has zippo knowledge in this area, and who was both an AFC discard and fired by this very same PPPC’s Ministry of Home Affairs.
It is shameful, but not surprising, that Mr. Leonard Craig cannot comprehend the elementary concept and arithmetic to calculate oil profits and that it is impossible for Guyana to ever obtain 52% profit as promised by VP Jagdeo, so, he must stop his fakery until he can produce his qualifications to speak on oil & gas and environmental matters. He must also reveal why he was fired by the Ministry of Home Affairs in this same PPPC Government and apparently brought back as a condition to do propaganda work; explain to the Guyanese taxpayers whether he graduated when sent on the taxpayers tab to study with full salary on an extended stay in China; and whether he truthfully represented his graduation status resulting in a questionable high hisse raise. In the meantime, while awaiting his answers, the AFC will not engage in his foolishness on serious matters to the nation.
The AFC is noticeably inducing severe nightmares on the PPPC with our two indisputable experts on oil & gas, the environment, engineering, and infrastructure, in Mr. David Patterson and Dr. Vincent Adams; and it is unimaginable that a character of the likes of Mr. Craig, who, notwithstanding that he has to sing for his supper, would be no witless to attempt to raise an argument with Dr. Adams – tantamount to Dr. Adams having to punch down several levels below his weight class.
Therefore, our attempt here is not to compare Mr. Craig’s zilch qualifications with Dr. Adams, an accomplished küresel leader in oil & gas, the Environment, and Project Management, for that would be defaming Dr. Adams. Nevertheless, we owe it to the Guyanese people to expose the lies, propaganda and empty rhetoric of the PPPC, and present the AFC’s wealth of competence and credibility, so that they can make a choice on who to believe.
Dr. Adams has the unique distinction of being an expert in petroleum, environmental, and geological engineering, headlined by one international writer as “A Guyanese Engineering Giant” with 47 years of international experience; retired member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) Corps comprising the highest ranking civilians running day-to-day operations of the US Government in the US Department of Energy (USDOE); entrusted with being in charge of some of the nation’s major nuclear weapons complexes; Senior Petroleum Reservoir & Production Engineer for British Petroleum conducting pioneering work in enhanced oil recovery; accorded the prestigious US Government’s “Distinguished Service Award”.
In addition, the 2012 President’s Award for contributing the most to education in the State of Ohio; represented the US on international bodies and headed US delegations to international conferences chairing two major international environmental conferences; Chairman of the US Chapter of the pre-eminent international organization of environmental professionals; transformed the Region 4 (Southern US) EPA and the USDOE Legacy Management Department into congressionally approved High Performing Organizations; and The Distinguished Engineer in Residence at UG and Head of Guyana’s EPA. He is a former national cricketer who hails from Christianburg (Linden) and Albouystown, and headed the Linden Fund USA providing humanitarian services and UG scholarships to his community. He holds an Executive Diploma in Leadership and Management from MIT; PhD in Environmental Engineering; PhD Candidacy in Petroleum & Geological Engineering; MS in Petroleum & Geological Engineering; MS in Hydrogeology; and BS in Civil Engineering.
In contrast to the incompetence and empty rhetoric of the PPPC, Dr. Adams under the APNU/AFC Government, performed his patriotic duties in obtaining a full Guarantee from Exxon to cover the cost of an oil spill that could bankrupt Guyana and the Caribbean; but despite the overwhelming ruling of Judge Kissoon in favor of the guarantee to protect the nation, the PPPC, in addition to many other environmental atrocities, betrayed its people in joining with Exxon to fight against the Guarantee.
Mr. Craig tries to impress with his nonsense about “research” and throwing names around such as Congressional members Maxine Waters and Patrick McHenry. First, hope he tells us in answers to the questions posed, what “research” he did during his extended three years in China on taxpayers nickel with expectations to study;
second, if he had done his “research”, he would have learnt that Dr. Adams was once Director of Engineering & Technology Development managing the world’s most preeminent research laboratories; and third, if he had done his “research” he would have learnt that Dr. Adams didn’t have to name drop, since one of his core responsibilities as an SES, was to routinely work directly with Members of Congress, State Legislators, Governors and local politicians to develop local and national policies, laws and regulations.
