China and France on Monday agreed to promote communications, coordination, exchanges and cooperation to build a bilateral relationship of more strategic stability and vision, said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks at a joint press conference with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Stephane Sejourne after their talks in Beijing.
Wang told reporters that China and France, both with an independent spirit, should play a leading role in boosting international solidarity, innovation and development, openness and win-win results, and dialogue among civilizations.
During the talks, the Chinese foreign minister urged the French side to attach great importance to addressing China’s legitimate and reasonable concerns and providing a fair and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese companies.
Strategic communication and multilateral coordination are the highlights of China-France cooperation, said Wang.
The two countries should have a common voice on issues of world peace and stability and the future of mankind and support each other’s multilateral initiatives, he said.
