Georgetown, Guyana – The Suriname Guyana Chamber of Commerce (SGCC) recently held a productive meeting with the Association of Economists in Suriname (VES). The meeting featured a detailed presentation by Dr. Vishnu Doerga, Chair of SGCC, who provided an analysis of Guyana’s economy. Dr. Doerga highlighted the country’s current economic landscape, recent developments, and future projections, emphasizing the robust bilateral trade and investment opportunities between Guyana and Suriname.

Dr. Doerga also discussed the upcoming International Business Conference, which will be co-hosted by SGCC and the Guyana Manufacturing Association (GMSA) from October 15th to 17th, 2024. This event promises to be a pivotal platform for business leaders and investors, who are looking to explore partnerships and investment opportunities.

Rahul Lildhar, CEO of SGCC, discussed the chamber’s initiatives and provided updates on ongoing and upcoming projects.
